We would have 10,000x more software tomorrow, if we could:- Almost no HR, legal, marketing and even customer service departments get any engineering time - Each company has hundreds of little processes that are done by 1 - 20 people & are too small to do anything about- Scary number of important procresees are managed in Excel, Google docs or maybe Jira- Each company had unique processes for which you cannot buy software, so they end up with multi year build out of software that is done once and never touched again
